RavenWyck Heraldry Crest Patch

Designed by Madame Aine to be the crest of RavenWyck featuring sigils and symbols of her family heritage and spiritual paths. RavenWyck Sanctuary Herald Patch~ a spiritual sigil 'coat of spirituality' that brings together sigils of power and intent. Designed and curated by Madame Áine for The Ravenwyck Sanctuary in Columbus, Michigan that she and her family have cultivated and grown, protected and defended for over 23 years. Madame Áine set out to design a crest that told the story of her ancestry and the powers and strengths she has come to cultivate and share at her Sanctuary. It's a collection of sigils and symbols to represent and create intention of these powers and forces. She wanted something simple yet potent that could be shared with others who identified with this spiritual coherence.

Crowning the patch, the Fleur D' lis from her French Ancestry and to represent faith, wisdom, and chivalry. The Besom our broomstick from her European Folk Ancestry ( Welsh, Irish, Cornish, Germanic ) also ( in honor of her 2nd Great Paternal Grams that made Hearth brooms ) and to represent the power of the Earth and trees, cleansing and Warding. The Sword from her Scottish Ancestry and to represent the power of protection and Will and homage to her studies in the Cabot Tradition of Magic. The Tudor Rose from her English Ancestry and to represent the power of Unity and Peace, the symbol of the Pentagram delicately woven from the petals for Quintessential energy, the 5 Elements, the Divine Feminine and Chalice of Creative Force. The Triple Moons ~ Crescent Moons for Maiden and Crone and the Full Moon for the Mother and Ancestors, embraced by the Horns of the Stag or Horned God representing the power of Divine Union, The Forces of polarity~ Feminine and Masculine~ Infinite Possibilities in this World and giving homage to her studies in Ash Birch Willow Tradion. In the center are the 3 rays of Awen or Flowing Source that come from her Druidic way of life, homage to the OBOD studies and represent the 3 rays of Creation~ The three rays are often interpreted in various ways, such as representing the masculine and feminine energies balanced by a central ray, the three-fold nature of the Druidic path (Bard, Ovate, Druid), or different aspects like mind, body, and spirit; love, wisdom, and truth; and earth, sea, and sky. /|\ These sigils surrounded by the Sacred Triangle of Hermeticism, the triangle symbolizes the interconnectedness of the spiritual and material worlds, a balanced trinity of mind, body, and spirit~ creates a powerful crest of spiritual power. And finally, as Divine messengers from the Otherworld~ Veil of Spirit, 2 Ravens bookend the crest with the powers of transmutation, transformation, Wisdom, Knowledge, Guidance and the Light Bringer. Also homage to her companion Ivy Skye and the namesake of her land. ☆
